Lynching
Lynching in the U.S has been happening since the 19th
century to the Blacks in America. Lynching was the threating the whites did to
the African Americans in the U.S. They were
threatened with lynching through out the 19th and 20th century.
No matter what gender, age, or reason the whites would lynch any black they
felt the need to. Whites used lynching
to cause fear to the blacks, whites thought they were much more superior to the
blacks so they used Lynching as a threat. Lynching
started before slavery. Lynching was known as the “violent drop back into the
south”
Whites
felt very pressured with the prominence of the blacks. Most whites had the
thought that black men were sexual predators towards the women of America. They
also thought the blacks were using white women to become part of the U.S
citizen ship. The fear between races in this century was the biggest fear for
most Americans.
